The entire city of Boston is on lockdown as heavily armed police search for the surviving suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings. One suspect was shot and killed overnight after the pair killed a campus police officer at M-I-T, injured a transit officer in a firefight and threw explosive devices at police during a getaway attempt. The two suspects are being widely identified as brothers from Russia who lived together near Boston and had been in the U-S for about a decade.

The police in Boston are using social media as their number one news source to zero in on the shooter still at larger. They’re also training the public to share information in a new way they can use in the investigation.

2:30pm- Calls and emails on the Boston situation and the Texas fertilizer plant explosion. A law enforcement official says 12 bodies have been recovered following a massive explosion that levelled a fertilizer plant. Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Jason Reyes said Friday that about 200 people were injured in the explosion at facility Wednesday night in the small farming community of West, about 20 miles north of Waco.
