Possible storm arriving Tuesday night

Southern Ontario is bracing for a potential winter storm tomorrow and into Wednesday.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for much of the province, including Waterloo Region.

It is tracking a low pressure system currently over Texas.

It’s expected to strengthen and move northeastward passing near southern Ontario tomorrow night.

It says it’s too soon to say which areas will receive a great deal of snow or rain.

That’s because the temperature will be hovering close to the freezing mark.

570 News Weather Specialist John Wilson is leaning towards snow for our area with the potential of up to 30 centimetres by the time it moves out of the area later Wednesday.
