GRH declares stomach virus outbreak

Grand River Hospital has declared a stomach virus outbreak on a third floor wing at its Freeport site.

Hospital officials say they will limit visiting after declaring the outbreak.

Two affected patients are in stable condition and isolated from others, while recovering. Seven staff members are confirmed to have the illness and are recovering at home.

Anyone visiting a hospital should wash and sanitize their hands regularly before, during and after a visit.
