A positive employment outlook for Waterloo Region this year.

The Conference Board of Canada estimates employment here will grow by 2.5 per cent in 2013.

It released its Metropolitan Outlook: Winter 2013 publication on Wednesday.

The board also predicts reduced GDP growth of 2.7 per cent. That follows three years where the average was 4.5 per cent.
