Police Activity on Weber Street in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police have told 570 News that there is significant police activity on Weber Street between Franklin and Broadview in Kitchener as part of and ongoing investigation.
In a statement, police spokesperson Olaf Heinzel says that the police are ‘assisting another police service regarding an incident that occurred outside Waterloo Region and two people from the residence are being questioned by Detectives.’
There are several police vehicle on scene, including the Command Centre, as well a cube van which is sitting in the middle of Weber Street with one of its doors left open. As a result of the activity, traffic is being rerouted.
