Waterloo Regional Police are asking for witnesses to contact them following an incident at the Preston Arena in Cambridge.

Police say a 47-year-old Cambridge man is charged with assault after what they call an off-ice altercation with a game official at a Cambridge minor hockey game.

It happened around 10 last night.

Police say no one was hurt and the investigation is ongoing.
