Snowfall warning issued for Friday

Enjoy this morning’s commute, because this time tomorrow, it could be a messy one.

Waterloo Region and much of southern Ontario are now under a snowfall warning.

Environment Canada says a system is moving up from Texas and expected to move into the province this evening and stick around well into tomorrow.

We could get a centimetre or two this afternoon in advance of the system’s arrival.

An Alberta clipper is also heading our way.

Environment Canada says some areas could receive up to 25 centimetres of snow and brisk winds will result in blowing snow.

It says the heaviest snow will occur during tomorrow’s morning rush along the Highway 401 corridor from London to the G-T-A and through the Golden Horseshoe.

570 News Weather Specialist, John Wilson is calling for between 10 and 15cm for our area.
