Winter returns!

The taste of spring we enjoyed yesterday is now long gone.

Temperatures plunged from well above freezing yesterday to below zero now.

The sudden drop has left many roads, sidewalks and parking lots icy.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for our area as well as most of southern Ontario.

It warns not only of a sharp change in temperature, but also high winds with gusts of up to 70 kilometres per hour.

570 News Weather Specialist, John Wilson also says we can expect flurries and blowing snow.

Meantime, a snow squall warning is now in effect for area off Lake Huron and Georgian Bay, as far south as Stratford and southern Perth County.
