Kitchener woman’s torso found in trash

Waterloo Regional Police have released the identity of the woman whose torso was found in Kitchener.

The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Kelsey Louise Felker of Kitchener.

Some people passing by the area found the torso in a garbage bin behind an apartment building on Frederick Street around 11am on Saturday morning.

The victim was found clothed in a black short sleeved t-shirt reading “Forget Princess I want to be a vampire” on the front. Police say information from the public about the shirt was an important factor in leading them to find her identity.

The cause of death is still unknown, a post mortem is underway.

Police are still actively seeking information from the community and are continuing to appeal to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area or locates any suspicious articles, on or near their property.
