Correction, Game 7 between the Kitchener Dutchmen and Cambridge is THIS Saturday – which is March 23rd.
Understandably, The Kitchener Rangers attract most of the fans and the attention when it comes to local hockey. However, the Kitchener Dutchmen have earned some attention! The Dutchies face-off against the Cambridge WinterHawks in game seven of the second round of the GOJHL Midwestern Division semi-finals this Saturday (March 27th) in Cambridge. The opposing teams generally have more fans in attendance, both at home and away games, simply because they do not have an OHL team. It would be great to get more Kitchener fans in the stands and create some excitement to support our Dutchmen. Every game of this series has been exciting and Game Seven will be well worth the price too ($12 for adults; $7 for kids under 12; kids under 3 are free). They play at the Galt Arena at 7:00 pm but you need to go early to get parking and good seats. Since the Rangers don’t play this Saturday, let’s show our Dutchmen some of the Kitchener spirit!!!

At 69 years old…love hockey…new every player by name on all the teams 40 years ago…will never support the NHL again in any way in the future…what does that tell you about your fan base…the NHL will need every fan they can get…too bad a “deep pockets” association doesn’t start a competing league similar to football, baseball, and others…I know it was tried before with Bobby Hull and gang, but this time it would be a welcome success.
