A local youth is facing several charges after shooting, and stabbing, an adult male.
Waterloo Regional Police say the incident happened around 7:30 Saturday night at a residence on Waterloo Street in Kitchener.
Police say during an altercation between the two, the youth shot the man several times with a pellet gun, then stabbed him multiple times, causing non-life threatening injuries.
The victim was taken to hospital, treated, and released.
The youth fled on foot and was arrested at his parents house.
The two were known to each other, but not related.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police.
Meanwhile, Regional Police continue to investigate a fatal collision in Woolwhich Township.
Police say 17 year old Beverly Bearinger of Elmira died from her injuries in hospital, after colliding with a tractor-trailer at the intersection of Arthur Street North and Tillman Road.
Police confirm that neither speed nor alcohol were factors in the fatal crash.
They ask anyone with information to contact the Traffic Branch.
