A new survey from Manpower indicates 10 per cent of employers in Waterloo Region plan to hire in the first quarter of 2013.
According to the Manpower Employment Outlook Survey, 82 per cent of employers plan to maintain their current staffing levels, while seven per cent anticipate cutbacks.

She also adds since the economic downturn, employers are hiring smarter.
Nationally, 13 per cent of employers plan to add to their workforce in the first quarter.
November’s unemployment rate in Waterloo Region was 6.3 per cent, up from 6 per cent in October.
