Much of Southern Ontario is covered in the warning including Waterloo Region, Guelph and the surrounding areas, such as Woodstock, Goderich and Stratford.

The low pressure system originating in Colorado will make its way towards the Lower Great Lakes today and is expected to bring a centimetre or two of snow from Lake Huron eastward into the GTA this evening before transitioning into freezing rain followed by rain.

Environment Canada says 5 to 10 centimetres of snow is expected further north near Georgain Bay.

Motorists are urged to drive to the road and weather conditions as untreated roads may become slick from the accumulation of slow and freezing rain.
