Damage is estimated at $400,000 to $450,000 after a house fire in Cambridge this morning.

Fire crews were called the home on Main Street around 10 am, after the home owner arrived back from an appointment to find the house ablaze.

Cambridge Fire Platoon Chief Bob Laurence tells 570 News the cause of the blaze was faulty electrical appliance.

He says the house is completely destroyed and will be demolished.

Main Street was closed between Franklin and Robinson for several hours today.
