An influenza A outbreak at Grand River Hospital’s Freeport site has been declared over.  

Three patients contracted the flu while another three experienced symptoms, but were not confirmed to have the virus.

The outbreak was confined to Union Terrace Two.

Looking ahead, Grand River Hospital is asking any visitors who are feeling under the weather not to visit, since influenza, colds and stomach viruses are common at this time of the year.
