92% of public elementary teachers in Ontario have voted in favour of a one-day political protest.
President of the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario Sam Hammond says in a release teachers will use the one day protest in the event that the Minister of Education uses Bill 115 to shut down legal strikes or impose a collective agreement.
Over 46,000 members cast a ballot in the on-line vote.
This is separate from the one day rotating strikes that the elementary teachers are planning. The ETFO says more details will be announced regarding those shortly.
