The Kitchener Rangers 18th Annual Teddy Bear Toss is tonight.

Fans attending this evening’s contest at the Aud are asked to bring a new or used, but in good condition teddy bear.

When the Rangers score their first goal you toss your stuffed toys on the ice.

Rangers Director of Marketing and Sales,  Brad Sparkes tells 570 News the event is for a good cause with the bears distributed to local charitable organizations.

As well, if you forget to bring a bear, Zellers will be selling them, with proceeds to benefit Cystic Fibrosis and other charities.

Over the past 17 years, almost 83,000 bears have been collected.

570 News has all the action of tonight’s game between the Rangers and the Guelph Storm starting at 7.
