A teenage girl struck and seriously injured in the roundabout at Homer Watson and Block Line has testified at the trial of a Grand River Transit bus driver charged with careless driving.
Cassi Lam was 16 when she was struck just over a year ago while heading to St. Mary’s High School.
She told the court she was walking within the crosswalk that October morning and had put her hand out to show she was crossing.
CTV reports, the teen testified she “was three quarters of the way and from there it all went black.”
Lam maintains she does not have any memory issues and can recall the events of that morning, although she says the crash has left her with issues when it comes to her studies.
The trial of Rafael Quintanilla continues today.
