The Waterloo Air Show will take to the skies in 2013.

Organizers have announced it will go ahead, even though Regional council yesterday voted against forgiving $91,000 in fees it is owed.

The show’s producers, Richard Cooper and David White say they “understand and respect the Council’s decision and have no hard feelings as to its outcome.”

The pair, who say they currently carry $350,000 in air show debt, say the show will go on because they “simply want to share their passion for aviation with others.”

Next year’s air show will take place June 1st and 2nd and the headline attraction will once again be the Canadian Forces Snowbirds.
