Distracting yet powerful – technology has the opportunity to change the way we learn and teach.
Today at Bingemans, over 45 industry experts are coming together to talk and debate about how mobility is impacting the classroom learning experience.
Desire2Learn is putting on the event called the Mobility Conference in hopes of getting a conversation going on the topic of technology in the classroom.
The full day workshop features a 45 industry expert panel, 15 partners and 8 keynote speakers.
Instead of powering down devices the conference looks to find other strategies to embrace technology and to use the tools for an advantage in the classroom.
Desire2Learn’s Shawn McEwan tells 570 News, “Learning about science in a game – that’s changing the landscape of how our young learners are adapting and learning technology.”
He cites his seven-year-old daughter who can fluently navigate her I-Pad, adding it
has even improved her reading.
The conference runs from 8 am until 5:45 pm.
