A St. Clements man has been fined $1,000, ordered to do 10 hours of community service and placed on probation following a fatal crash in Wellesley Township in May.
32-year-old Dale Wideman pleaded guilty earlier to careless driving after he fell asleep at the wheel and struck a cyclist.
52-year-old Barrie Conrod was killed instantly in the collision on Herrgott Road.
This morning’s Record reports, the court decided against a licence suspension, since Wideman requires a vehicle for his job.
