The Kitchener Rangers edged the Generals 2-1 in Oshawa on Sunday night, extending Kitchener’s winning streak to five.
Matt Puempel’s 100th career Ontario Hockey League goal was the game winner.
John Gibson made 35 saves for his 11th victory of the season.
The Rangers played without Tobias Rieder and Radek Faksa. Rieder was injured during the warm-up and Faksa is battling the flu.
Kitchener’s next game is Friday when the Rangers host Erie. 570 News will have the pre-game show at 7pm.
