WRPS investigating two separate assaults

Waterloo Regional Police are searching for 5 suspects after a pair of separate assaults.

In the first case, police say three unknown men forced their way into a Kitchener apartment and assaulted the tenant around 2:30 pm, on Friday before fleeing on foot.

The victim and suspects did not know each other.

The first man is described as white, around 18 to 20 years-old, wearing a black jacket and a grey hooded sweat shirt. Standing 5’3 tall, and about 130 lbs.

The second suspect is described as white, between 21 and 25 years-old, wearing a black jacket and a grey hooded sweat shirt. 5’6 to 5’8 tall, and weighing about 170 lbs. This suspect had red facial hair.

The third suspect is described as white, 21 to 25 years-old wearing a black jacket, grey jogging pants and a dark-coloured hooded sweat shirt. Between 5’6 and 5’8 tall, and weighing around 160 lbs.

In the second assault case, Friday around 8:30 pm, two female university students were approached while walking on Elgin Crescent, in Waterloo. One woman was punched repeatedly in the face and had her shopping bags stolen.

The two men, who are described to have dark complexions, then fled in a white or silver Matrix style vehicle.
