Preparing for an emergency

Emergency simulations will be conducted in the County of Bruce between October 16th and 18th.

These exercise scenarios will be dealing with the aftermath of severe weather events and industrial incidents.

Ontario Chief of Emergency Management, Allison Stuart tells 570 News that this type of simulation takes 18 months to two years to plan.

This is the largest exercise Southwestern Ontario has seen in the past eight years.

During the exercise, area residents may see emergency vehicles and personnel responding to simulated emergencies at various building, roads and other locations.
