Thousands turn out for 31st Oktoberfest Family Breakfast

Rain or shine the 31st Annual Oktoberfest Family Breakfast is a go this morning.
The free event gets underway at Waterloo public square from 7:30 a.m until 11 this morning.
Christa Hicks, Promotions Manager for 570 News/CHYM 96.7 and KIX 106.7 expects about 10,000 people to attend.
Conestoga College Culinary students will handle the cooking duties.
You can expect cider from Wellesley apple products, Tim Horton’s coffee, Aunt Jemima Pancakes and Piller’s Sausages.
There will also be entertainment as you are served breakfast by staff from the Rogers Kitchener Radio Group which includes 570 News, CHYM 96.7, and KIX 106.7.
Again, the breakfast is free to attend, but the public is encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the Food Bank of Waterloo Region.
