Just days before the start of Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest and a new Miss Oktoberfest has been crowned.

Lindsay Coulter was chosen at a gala on Friday night.

The University of Waterloo geography and environmental management student is also a piano teacher and yoga fanatic.

Lindsay will be making over 125 appearances over the next year including at the Thanksgiving Day parade a week from today.
