Charges in June shooting

Waterloo Regional Police have charged two men, in relation to an attempted murder case, stemming back to June 30th, on Wellington Street, near King Street in Kitchener.

One suspect has been arrested, and a Canada-wide warrant has been issued for the other.

The warrant is for 26-year-old Marc Robert Lucas. Here’s video of a man believed to be Lucas that was released in late August.

“Lucas has been known to travel on bicycles or on a skateboard, and has access to guns. He should be considered armed and dangerous, and if the public does come into contact him, they should not approach him, and should contact police.” Spokesperson Alana Holtom told 570 News.

Lucas is charged with four counts of attempted murder.

The other suspect, 28-year-old David Russell Tanner is in custody, on an unrelated matter and faces the same charges.

Police also want to talk to the owner and or operator of a Black Ford F150 that was seen in the area at the time of the shooting, to determine they’re level of involvement if any. The image is posted above.
