It’s time to start putting away those summer clothes, fall officially begins at 10:49 a.m. this morning and with it comes chilly autumn weather.

570News weather specialist John Wilson says even though we didn’t set many records this summer, the warm temperatures were very consistent.

“The remarkable thing about it wasn’t so much the extremes, we didn’t have all that many records set, but it was the consistency of the heat, there were no cool spells.”

Wilson says it was also one of the driest summers on record, and fall will most likely follow that trend. He says although it will be a chilly start to the fall season, it’s expected to be unseasonably warm over all.
