Laurier grad and author of “The Wealthy Barber” – David Chilton – made his debut as one of the dragons.. on the CBC’s “Dragons’ Den” last night.
Ironically, one of the pitches heard by the dragons came from 2 Kitchener brothers.
Lee and Sean Renshaw were showcasing an innovative type of luggage, that hangs in the closet and unfolds to create shelves.
The dragons all liked it, but differed on how the brothers should proceed – and get their money.
In the end, they went with a joint offer from David Chilton and Arlene Dickinson.
They will put up $100,000 in exchange for a 50% stake.
That investment will go toward marketing and licensing the luggage.
