IPM 2012 Plows Its Way Into Roseville

A premier agricultural event will be in Waterloo Region for the next 5 days.

Roseville will host the 99th International Plowing Match from Tuesday, September18th to Saturday, September 22nd.

Officials expect more than 100,000 visitors to attend the massive event that will span more than 200 acres.

Kids both big and small will be able to check out not just the plowing competition, but also some 600 exhibitors and vendors under a “tent city”.

The top 2 competitors in the 99th IPM will move on to represent Ontario at the 2013 Canadian Plowing Championships.

On Thursday night the Queen of the Furrow crown will be handed out at a banquet.

IPM Chair David Pyper says there will be plenty to see and do with lots of live entertainment, a K-W Oktoberfest Festhallen will be set-up and also this year the “dancing” tractors return.

Admission is $17 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-15. kids under 6 are free. a family pass for 2 adults and youth/children is available for $40.
