Guelph assault

Police in Guelph are asking for the public’s help with locating two witnesses who they believe have information about an aggravated assault case.

On September 3rd a fight broke out on Carden Street and Wyndham Street and resulted in a 27 year old being taken to Guelph General Hospital and later transferred to Hamilton General with serious head injuries. Police have a 26 year old charged with aggravated assault in custody.

Sgt. Doug Pflug with the Guelph Police Service says now, a second person has been arrested.

“He is going to appear in bail court today. This 32 year old Guelph resident has also been charged with aggravated assault.”

The victim remains in hospital unconscious and in critical condition.
