Health officials in Ontario said that there have been 116 confirmed and probable cases of West Nile in the province.
These latest statistics make Ontario the hot zone for West Nile virus activity in Canada this summer.
Manitoba has the next most cases, with 20, Quebec has recorded 19 cases, while Saskatchewan and Alberta have had three cases each.
Despite the high number of cases, there have been no West Nile-related deaths in Canada this season.
