Canadian judo champ Justin Karn of Kitchener finished his first Paralympic Games in 7th place in the 60kg category.

The 31-year-old is legally blind.

He started with a loss against an opponent from Japan. Karn won his second match, then lost his third.

“I’m hoping for the best for the future,” Karn said. “I’m definitely not done yet. I’m looking forward to competing again in 2015 and Rio. I will definitely be cheering on my teammates on Saturday.”
