Flyover to HWY 8 re-opened

One person has been airlifted to Hamilton General in life threatening condition.
This after a 3 vehicle crash from the Southbound expressway onto the flyover to HWY 8.
OPP tell 570 News the crash involved a Nissan, a Dodge Avenger and a Hyundai. Investigators say the Dodge tried to merge onto the flyover at the last minute and hit a barrier, flipped, then landed on the Nissan, forcing the Nissan to hit the Hyundai.
In total 7 people were taken to hospital.
The OPP will update the media on the circumstances surrounding the crash Saturday morning.
