A more than century old Labour Day weekend tradition continues with the kick off of the Paris Fair.

It runs through Monday and is one of the largest five day fairs in the country.

The midway opened late yesterday afternoon, but today marks the opening of exhibits – 12,000 of them – covering everything from livestock shows to the midway to entertainment.

Secretary Manager of the Paris Agricultural Society, Russell Press tells 570 News
they have something new this year as well.

He says Wild World Experience marries a zoo and an exotic exhibition to the jungle.

You can check out animals right from our own backyard as well as such exotic creatures as alligators, eagles and lemurs.

Over 80,000 people are expected to attend.
