An early morning residential fire in the south-end of the City of Cambridge is out.
Fire officials tell 570 News they were called out to 46 Grantham Avenue, near Dundas and Beverly, just before 5:30 Tuesday morning.
Acting Platoon Chief Martin Mills says the building is a semi-detached home that had been turned into a number of apartments.
Mills says they’ve determined the cause was careless smoking and damage is estimated between $50,000 and $60,000.
He says a woman who uses an oxygen tank was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
All the other residents were able to make it out of the building safely.
