Sun Life building turns 100

Joining the City of Kitchener in Centennial celebrations is Sun Life Financial. Their building at King and Union in Waterloo is 100 years old today.
In commemoration of this event, the Ontario Heritage Trust is giving the building a plaque for its’ accomplishment.
“The Ontario Heritage Trust is an agency of the government and the provincial plaque program is … very high recognition from the Heritage Trust that recognizes our importance to the region and also to the province.” said Krystal Rycroft, Corporate Archivist at Sun Life Financial.
“This building represents the stability and history and strength that we have in this community.”
The Sun Life building is hosting an exclusive VIP tour of the building today. A reception for community partners begins at 11am.
