Waterloo Regional Police have charged one of their own.

It’s in connection with an off-duty incident that happened on Saturday.

Constable Krista McCutcheon, a patrol officer working out of Central Division, has been charged with assault and released on a promise to appear with conditions.  She is due in court next month.

McCutcheon is a two-year member of the force.

The victim suffered minor injuries.
