Liberals select candidate

The Liberals have chosen their candidate to run in the upcoming Kitchener-Waterloo byelection, and he’s a familiar face to voters.

The candidate is Eric Davis. He ran last year, losing to now resigned PC Elizabeth Witmer by just over 3,500 votes, but in the process increasing the Liberal vote in the riding by 5%.

“I feel really good. It has been a long and tough race … Raj (Sharma) and Karen (Scian) have been absolutely spectacular, but I am really have to have won this nomination race.”

Davis thinks the September 6th byelection with be “tough-fought”, and plans on being a strong local rep for the people of KW, making sure moderate and progressive values are represented at Queen’s Park.
