Kitchener man recognized

A Kitchener man is being recognized for his service in the veteran community, receiving the Minister of Veterans Affairs Commendation.

Kenneth Gawthorn served in World War Two and the Korean War.

Gawthorn is the Vice President of the Korean Veterans Association Unit 52 in Kitchener. He has been part of the unit for over 20 years, at one point serving as President.

Helping drive other vets and veterans widows to appointments, as well as taking part in poppy sales in the region are just a couple of the ways Gawthorn has made a difference.
