Newmarket man drowns in Jamaica

Search and rescue authorities in Jamaica have recovered the body of a Canadian man who is said to have drowned off one of the island’s beach resorts.
The man has been identified by police as John Bolt, 52, of Newmarket. The name of the resort he was staying at has not been made public.
Local police in Jamaica have only said that Bolt had gone for a swim and apparently encountered difficulties in the water.
