Cambridge Highland Games kick off

It’s time to get your kilts out because the Cambridge Highland Games are back!

Today marks the 37th year for the community tradition which features over twenty five pipe bands.

Jim Proudfoot, Cambridge Highland Games Treasurer, tells 570 News the event has grown but it’s the tourist dollars they depend on.

Proudfoot adds that the combination of dance, Scottish cuisine and children’s activities leaves something fun for everyone.

The community tradition, which brings thousands of visitors to Cambridge, is a not-for-profit organization offering some enjoyment for everyone.

The event begins today at 9 am and tickets are fifteen dollars.
