An 11-month old Kitchener boy is going to be okay after a scary situation Wednesday afternoon.

The boy, who was wearing a floating device, slipped out of it and went under water in a pool at a home on Erinbrook Drive.

He was taken to Grand River Hospital as a precaution.

Waterloo Regional Police are using this as a stern reminder though to never leave children unattended near water.
