Final Meeting On Northdale Study

It’s been months in the making, consumed hundreds of pages of paper and involved countless hours of public consultation.

On Monday afternoon, the City of Waterloo holds its final public meeting on the Northdale Land Use and Community Improvement Plan Study.

It’s a 20-year vision for the Northdale community, and Waterloo City Councillor Jeff Henry tells 570 News the Northdale of the future will be a vibrant community, where there is always something to do or see around the corner.

He says with mixed use zoning, people will be able to live, work, and play all on the same block.

Henry says it will be a neighbourhood that will be attractive to people who are studying, young professionals and those who are downsizing. Adding that it will be environmentally friendly, in that it will be walkable and bikeable.

The final formal public meeting happens at 6:30 this evening in council chambers.
