Looks like the issue won’t be debated until the fall.

The Globe and Mail today is reporting the controversial motion, on just when a human life begins, from Kitchener Centre MP Stephen Woodworth won’t be debated later this month after all.

The Globe says Woodworth has swapped spots on the Parliamentary agenda with another politician.  And that the MP says the decision was made because his mother is gravely ill and he did not have time to focus properly on the effort.

Critics have said this was a backdoor attempt to revisit the legality of abortion.
