The race is on, or it will be in Kitchener.

The third annual Great Commuter Race is slated for today.

It’s one of the highlights of Commuter Challenge 2012.

In this case, participants will take part in a six-kilometre race from Fairview Park Mall to Kitchener City Hall.

They can either take the iXpress bus, cycle or carpool.  

Those taking part include members of city council, staff, local celebrities and members of Kitchener’s Cycling Advisory Committee.
