Motorcycle Ride for Dad

Hundreds of motorcycles take to the streets of Waterloo Region today for the annual Motorcycle Ride for Dad.

It’s staged in support of research and public awareness in the fight against prostate cancer.

So far, this year, rides across the country have involved over 13,000 riders who have raised in excess of $1.7-million.

Today’s ride begins with registration at Sportsworld Crossing at 7 a.m. with the ride itself beginning at 9 a.m. sharp, and is expected to wrap up the following hour at Ira Needles’ Empire Theatres.

The ride will take the scenic route around Waterloo Region.

The route is as follows:
-Sportsworld Crossing to Hwy 8
-Right turn to Hwy 8
-Hwy 8 to King St E to Weber St E
-Left on Victoria St
-Right on King St
-Proceed on King St through downtown Kitchener & Waterloo
-Left  on  University Av, Waterloo
-Proceed to Ira Needles Bv
-Enter Empire Theatre lot via the Roundabout
