The Province has announced it’s adding 55 new nursing positions for the Waterloo-Wellington Local Health Integration Network.
Province-wide, 900 new nursing positions have been added.
Kitchener-Centre MPP John Milloy made the announcement this afternoon at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Milloy said that nurses are fundamental to building the best possible health care system.
He says residents in Waterloo Region will have better access to health care services they need.
The new positions will be created across the health care system – in hospitals, long term care homes, public health and primary health care.
