The Kitchener Panthers start a new season this afternoon at Jack Couch Park.
They will host the Ottawa Fat Cats at 2pm.
What are the expectations for this year?
“We’re looking to get into the playoffs, first and foremost, and hopefully we’re clicking on all cylinders by then and try to go deep in the playoffs and hopefully win a championship.” Panthers head coach, Brian Bishop told 570 News.
The Panthers will also welcome back a strong core of players including Jeff Pietraszko, Mat Taube and Luke Baker.
Bishop is also happy to see the Guelph Royals back in the IBL.
“Whenever you can add teams or keep teams around that have a history like Guelph does…it makes the league stronger.”
