THEMUSEUM to display art by Yoko Ono

In 1969 Yoko Ono and John Lennon told the world, “War is over.”

This summer, Yoko Ono is teaming up with THEMUSEUM in downtown Kitchener to display 10 of her very own works of art that represent peace.

David Marskell, CEO of THEMUSEUM tells 570 News as other museums decided to celebrate war, he chose to celebrate peace, which brought him to Yoko Ono.

Marskell notes, the works chosen for THEMUSEUM brings a message of peace to the world and the artwork allows the audience to reflect on the message and interact with the piece.

ADD COLOUR: A Yoko Ono Exhibition opens at THEMUSEUM in downtown Kitchener May 12th and runs through September 3rd.

THEMUSEUM also welcomes “DINOSAURS” – an exhibition opening today and running through September 23rd. It’s described as featuring “dramatic robotic vignettes that portray the life of dinosaurs in a variety of settings.”
